Learn what’s new with flexible-spending accounts as
HR Works’ April 21 executive briefing examines FSA debit cards
Looking for a new technology that will help your organization and your employees manage
ballooning health-care costs?
For senior-level executives interested in automating flexible-spending account
reimbursements, HR Works, Inc., is offering “Debit Cards: Radically Changing
the Way You Look at FSAs,” on April 11 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Gus Platas, president of EBS Benefit Solutions, Inc.,
will discuss how rising health-care costs and recent IRS guidelines have fueled
employers’ interest in this new technology. Using a special FSA debit card,
employees pay for eligible expenses at the point of service. Automating this
process saves employees time and money, and reduces employer and employee
paperwork.
“Nearly every organization that offers its employees flexible-spending accounts can
benefit by automating and streamlining the reimbursement process,” says Kate Leunig, director of training and
development at HR Works. “Fortunately, the IRS’ position dovetails with
the available technology to make this innovation a reality for employers.”
“Debit Cards: Radically Changing the Way You Look at FSAs” is the latest in the HR NetWorks: The Executive
Resources Forum series. Designed for senior managers -- including CEOs,
company presidents, vice presidents, CFOs, controllers and HR executives – the
series was created by HR Works to address advanced-level issues and case
studies that directly impact organizations’ strategic initiatives and
profitability.
The April 21 event will take place in the second-floor conference room at 290 Woodcliff Drive,
Fairport. The program fee is $25 per person.
