Wage and Hour Laws: Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
The Department of Labor added 250 new investigators in fiscal year 2010, increasing the total number of investigators by one-third. The DOL is expected to add 90 additional investigators in 2011, with a $20 million increase in the enforcement budget. With that in mind, this course addresses an issue of utmost importance to many companies and employees - money. This FLSA overview includes exempt status, minimum wage, overtime, working time, and docking pay.

When complainants are informed that the Wage and Hour Division is declining to pursue their complaints, they may also be given a toll-free number to contact the newly created ABA-approved Attorney Referral System.
