Effective January 2019, all state contractors are required to submit an affirmation that they have a sexual harassment policy and that their employees will be trained. This means that any organization that is considered a contractor for New York State is required to have their sexual harassment training completed by October 9, 2019. With that said, it is strongly encouraged to schedule and deliver training as soon as possible as a “good faith effort”.
