In 2016, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) received 91,503 charges of workplace discrimination of which 46% were for employer retaliation. Those numbers are expected to climb in 2017.

Claims of discrimination can lead to increased numbers of investigations and, when unaddressed, can result in workplace violence incidents. Now more than ever, HR professionals need to understand the methods used to curtail discrimination, how to optimize effective workplace investigations and processes, and how to implement best-practice conflict resolution techniques.

Attendees of this course will learn:

  • to recognize situations that can lead to harassment, sexual harassment, and discrimination in the workplace,
  • how to determine if and when an investigation into a claim is warranted, and
  • how to avoid workplace violence incidents that are related both to internal and external factors.
